The Waldegrave Arms in Chewton Mendip is a traditional country pub that serves food and is just a 5 minute drive away.
The Horse and Jockey, in nearby Binegar. An 18th Century Inn that serves food too.
The Mendip Inn, Oakhill. Described as a Somerset country pub of distinction, serves a modern and fresh a la carte menu seven days a week.
The Litton, Litton offers menus inspired by the season and by local sustainable ingredients.
The Queen Victoria Inn, Priddy. A country pub with flagstone flooring, huge fireplaces and beamed ceilings. Serves food seven days a week – especially refreshing after a good walk across the Mendip Hills.

Bath has been a popular wellbeing destination since Roman times – it was built for pleasure and relaxation!
The City of Wells has a magnificent cathedral and the unique moated Bishop’s Palace.
Glastonbury Tor steeped in legends, the iconic hill has been a spiritual magnet for centuries.
The Mendip Hills – a stunning landscape of steep slopes and undulating plateaus with spectacular gorges and rocky outcrops. There’s lots to explore in this recognised Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
Family Fun
Wookey Hole Caves is well worth a visit if you have young children. They will be enthralled by the enchanting tales of its famous Witch.
Longleat – the UK’s number one safari park.
Cheddar Gorge where attractions include Gough’s Cave, Dreamhunters, The Museum of Prehistory, Rocksport activities and Escape Room Games.
Shepton Mallet Prison – from ghost tours to laser games and archery wars, there’s lots to keep you busy here.

Stourhead – a Palladian house with a world-famous landscape garden.
Barrington Court with beautiful gardens full of vibrant colours and intoxicating scents as well as playing fountains.
Dunster Castle is an ancient building, now a comfortable country home with dramatic vistas and subtropical gardens.
Montacute House is a masterpiece of Elizabethan Renaissance architecture and design, featuring towering walls of glass and beautiful surrounding gardens.
Kilver Court Gardens are an unexpected and quirky delight for visitors to the area. Featured on BBC’s Gardeners World there is lots to explore in the three and a half acre gardens.
